教学目标

By the end of this class, students are expected to

1. know about what information they need to acquire for writing while reading.

2. grasp the skills of how to make up main plot.

3. try writing a paragraph of the story.

教学方法

教学重点

Appreciate the language used in the reading passage and infer the development of the story based on some skills.

Apply what we have acquired through reading to writing effectively.

教学过程

Step one: Lead--in

Step two: Reading

                    main plot

Step three: Writing

infer the development based on three tips

教学反思

In my opinion, carefully reading the original text comes first. Not only should we focus on what is said, but also how it is said, as the language style in the continuation writing should be consistent with the given passage. So, in this class, I spend a lot of time appreciating the language used in the original text. And then, how to infer the development of the story, that is to say, the content of the continuing story, is of equal importance. Three skills are mentioned to help students explore the plot. With the language and plot ready, students will have less difficulty finishing the task in class. Of course, one thing counts—the theme of a story. As we know, every story ,whether it is short or long, has a theme—to praise the kindness or to punish the evil or etc.
