Guide the students to read for plots, language and theme.

Lead the students to continue the story with lively description.

教学难点

How to continue the story in agreement with the former part in the plot and language style.

教学过程

Step1. Lead in

 Check Ss the preview sheet concerning the content in the book .

Step2. Skills concerning the writing are conducted step by step.

Step3. A sample is presented to Ss to compare with their own version .

Step4. More skills are offered to drill Ss in improvement in writing.

Step5.Read more vivid original materials to learn more details .

Step 6. Accomplish the continuation writing in Oxford

Step 7. Assessment and correction

 

教学反思

Continuation writing is a struggle for the students because of their limited accumulation of the words ,structures as well as the standard saying. When they come up with a reasonable plot ,they fail to convey their meanings in a standard way, as to which the teacher must assume the responsibility of guiding them in an efficient way .Under the proper guidance and with abundant accumulation , Ss gradually form the good habit of writing vividly and correctly, thus improving their overall English skills .
