教学目标:
1.能听得懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词ill, tired, water, happy, thirsty以及能听得懂、会说和会读日常交际用语Come and have... I want to...  What’s the matter? I’m...Good night.
2.通过学习,学生能用贴切的形容词表述自己的感觉。
3.通过多种活动,激发学生的兴趣,使学生更加喜欢上英语课;并能在日常生活中学会经常关心、帮助他人,有一份爱心。
教学过程:
Step1 Warm up
1.Greetings
出示表情图片师生交流:T:talk about these pictures,what’s the matter with them?
直接导入学习新词:happy、sad…
2.Sing a song 《If you are happy》
Step2 Presentation and practice
1.T: But Liu Tao is not happy. What’s the matter?
(揭示课题Unit 7 What’s the matter?操练并板书)

学习课文第一段
(1)T: Liu Tao is not happy. Guess, what’s the matter with Liu Tao?(带着学生看答案)

A. He is thirsty.       B. He is hungry.

T: Let’s watch the cartoon and choose the correct answer. (播放动画)
(2)学习课文第一幅图
T:Liu Tao is thirsty, how do you know?(你是怎么知道的?)
Read the dialogue and find it.(出示第六张幻灯片)
出示课文第一幅插图教授句型“Come and have a pie, Taotao.”板书并指导句子朗读①划分句子“Come  and have a pie, Taotao. ”②领读:Come and have a pie. Chant: Come and have,(右手招手,食指指着嘴唇。) Come and have,(左手招手,食指指着嘴唇。) Come and have a pie. (双手招手,食指指着嘴唇,然后在空中画一个大圈。)操练第一副图的对话(分组,分角色)
(3)学习第三幅图
T:Liu Tao is tired, how do you know? (read and find it)
学习ill并带读。
学习第二、四幅图
(4)学习第二幅图
T:Liu Tao is tired, so his Dad and mum give him some suggestions. Listen and choose.
Q1. Liu Tao is thirsty, so he should(所以他应该)         
A、Come and have a pie.
B、Come and have some water.
C、Come and have a look.
(学生自读1、2两幅图,试着回答。强调句子Can I have some water,Mum?的语气和语调。)
Q2. Liu Tao is tired, too. So he says

(学生自读3、4两幅图,试着回答,指导学生朗读句子。)

    出示泰迪熊和小狗Puppy口渴、饥饿的图片,用What’s the matter ?问问它们怎么了,然后用Here’s a ... for you .Come and have ... .来帮助它们。将你得到的图片奖品赠送给她。
Step4 Summary
当你看到别人不太舒服,想关心他时,你可以说:“What’s the matter?”          
当你口渴想要喝水时,可以说:    “I want to have some water. ”
让对方过来吃午饭,你可以说:   “Come and have lunch. ”
当对方感觉到很饿时,你可以说:  “ Here’s a pie for you. ”
