5B Unit 8 Birthdays 教学设计及反思

教学内容:
五年级下册 Unit 8 Birthdays Story time
教学目标:
1. 能听懂、会读、会说单词:eleventh, eighth, together, play games.
2. 能听懂、会读、会说日常用语:When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually….
3. 能正确的理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
4. 能了解中西方文化中不同的生日风俗习惯。
教学重点:
1. 能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的帮助下尝试复述课文。
2. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人的生日以及如何过生日。
教学难点:
日期的表达法。
教材分析:
本板块通过Miss Li询问Su Hai, Mike的生日,他们分别描述生日当天的情形学习句型:When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually…并通过此板块学习新词组:have a big dinner, eat some noodles, play with Kitty, have a party, buy a birthday cake, eat the birthday cake, play some games, have a great time, have a lot of fun.

教学过程:
Step 1 Warming up
Greetings
设计意图】简单地打招呼后,直接进入主题。
Step 2 Presentation
1. It’s me.
T: Look, it’s me. My English name is Amy. And my birthday is on the first of April. This is the first of April, and this is the second of April. How do we say it? (引导学生说出四月三日) Can you circle the eighth of April? (引导学生猜eighth 的意思,并学习单词eighth,及词组the eighth of April)
T: (课件出示五月份的日历)I think, May is the most important month of a year. Because Mother’s Day is in it. When is Mother’s Day? (引导学生说出 on the eleventh of May, 并学习 eleventh)
2. Work in pairs.
同桌操练句型When’s your birthday?及回答It’s on…
设计意图】通过自己的生日,引出序数词eighth, eleventh以及时间表达法并教授句型:When’s your birthday?及回答It’s on…通过兴趣展示,学习词组play games, 并引入游戏环节。
3. Good eyes.
T: My hobby is playing games. (教play games, 分小组朗读)
Do you like playing games?
S: Yes.
T: Let’s play a game.
(1) Play games. (教师讲解游戏规则)
(2) Work in group.
T: You all did a good job! Now, discuss the birthday activities in group, using the sentences: What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually….
设计意图】以游戏的方式复习跟生日有关的活动,既活跃了课堂气氛,又导出了句型What do you do on your birthday? 及回答I usually….
揭题T: We are talking about birthdays. Today we’ll learn Unit8 Birthdays Story time.
4. Listen and answer.
(1)Show the questions.
T: Look, Miss Li, Su Hai and Mike are talking about birthdays too. Listen to the tape and answer the questions: When’s Su Hai’s birthday? When’s Mike’s birthday?
(2)Check the answers.
5. Watch and judge.
(1) Su Yang’s birthday is on the eleventh of May.
(2) Su Hai and Su Yang usually eat noodles on their birthday.
(3) Mike’s birthday is in April.
(4) Mike always have a party at school.

【设计意图】将课堂还给学生“重心下移”,给学生充分的时间去读课文,理解课文,培养学生自主学习的能力。表格的设计,既是课文重点的归纳,又正好可以检查学生自己精读课文的效果。

7. Repeat and retell

【设计意图】设计让学生复述课文,一方面可以检查他们对新知识的掌握情况,另一方面可以培养他们自己组织语言材料进行口语交际的能力,让他们能够学以致用,也使整个课文的处理呈现出层层推进,由浅入深,层次分明,课文的复述是对学生提出的最高要求。

教后反思:
本节课是5下第8单元的第一课时,是一节语篇教学课。现代课堂阅读教学结构大体上分为三个阶段:阅读前、阅读中和阅读后,目的是确保通过阅读教学帮助学生形成处理文本的能力。本节课中,我在课前深度挖掘教材资源遵循整体——局部——整体的教学思路,注重前后知识的联系,让语言学习在真实的、自然的师生互动中进行;同时为学生提供思考和语言交际的机会,让英语课堂成为学生彰显个性的舞台。
这节课我分为三个部分:1.引出生日这个话题,并学习When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually…. 2. 谈论Su Hai和Mike的生日活动。3.让学生写写自己及家人的生日活动,进行语段输出。在教学环节的推进过程中,我能注意环节转换的自然、连贯、递进,逐步提升学生的思维水平。尽可能的做到开放式的教学,由小开放到大开放,让学生在小开放性的教学情境环节基本上将本课所学习的内容作进一步的综合和巩固。在大开放性教学的环节中,超越本节课所学的内容。
一节课上完,最大的感受是,要想上好一节课,不仅要备课堂还要备学生,在课前对课堂进行充分的预设是一方面,而在课堂上,教师的智慧更显得尤为关键,今天在课堂上,我对有些细节的处理就显得不那么“智慧”,尤其是对于学生互评的引导方面,如果当时能够在第一个学生的评价后,给予及时的反馈,会使得后面的学生评价更为准确,精彩。
